Back to School

Our little man is off to Grade 1 this year! I don't care how cliche it is, but he isn't supposed to be this old yet.
He lot his first tooth over the August long weekend. And has another on the verge of falling out too!!!
He has turned into such a young man, and ensures that we always have our hands full. He has his own little personality, that often clashes with mom and dad's and is so considerate of others.
He claims he has no girlfriends, but I am worried that is not the case!! (REALLY!! Grade One??? oh man!)

All by Myself.

Paige is getting ready to fully experience having her big brother gone to school full time. It is not only a transition for Dominic, but for her also. She plays so well by herself that I know she will do fine!!

Hot Hot Hot!!

Our jalapeno plants have BLOSSOMED this year!! They are probably three times the size they were last year. Everything is getting ready for me to make salsa! I can't wait!

Flower Power

I love flowers, every shape, every form. I can't wait until we are on a farm where I can have flower beds, upon flower beds, upon flower beds.

Sunset

I love the beautiful colors sunset's give off. So relaxing. I like to just sit and breath in the beauty of nature!

Training Time

Dominic getting his training from Dad. It will be years before he's left on his own, thus it's very important for us to give him proper training, and safety precautions. We all know accidents happen much too easy.

He was very excited to shoot the top of his pop bottle. He did very well!

That time of year

It's came that time (already!!). Time to get ready to make salsa!! Our tomatoes are getting big, and starting to change color! I can't wait to replenish our stock! This year, unlike last, I think we are going to be a little more worried about frost...which means daily trips to the farm to cover, and uncover the plants! Oh well, it's worth it in the end!

Family

Dominic is off to Grade ONE this year!! And thus, he was asked to bring a family photo. I always like to send a very recent photo, so we were off to the field today to snap a photo of us.

Not so interested.

Paige of course, wants nothing to do with Transformers. Find her a life size Barbie and we'd be talking. So we had to snap a photo of her AWAY from the Transformer

In Real Life

Dominic has been in love with Transformers, for as long as I can remember. Little did we know, someone had MADE one just outside of Estevan (on the way to Stoughton). He was absolutely ecstatic, however, he still knew "it's not REAL, MOM!"

Beach or Wind Day??

Seems to be if we get beach weather (soo hot you wanna jump in the water every 5 minutes--that's my kind of beach weather), you also get WIND!! Nonetheless we headed out to the beach with the Trafford's and had an absolutely splendid day, followed by a weiner roast (which, due to the wind, actually got changed into a weiner BBQ).

It's really fun being with the Trafford family, as their son Kyle is the the same age as Dominic. And their son Kaeden is the same as Paige. They all play together quite well!

And no, I didn't MAKE the kids haul the cooler..They just did it, TEAM WORK!!

Take 2

Richard and Laura, have a beautiful yard and had everything set up to have their wedding there. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and everything had to be moved indoors.
On the Sunday, which was way nicer weather, they had a little re-enactment. It was quite funny.
We really enjoyed ourselves at their wedding and wish them all the best in their marriage together.

My eyes have gone FROGGY!!

We spent last weekend at a friend's wedding in Winnipegosis. We camped out at their farm, which should have been called FROGLAND!! They were EVERYWHERE!! The kids had a blast catching them and letting them go.

Fireside

The joy of camping all summer, we've enjoyed many a campfire's. It's so peaceful to sit around the fire and watch the flames jump about. I'm really going to miss being able to relax around campfires.

Feeling Flowery

I really love taking photo's of nature, and of flowers. My goal is to get a few canvas prints of some beautiful flowers to put at my entranceway. My entranceway could definetly use some brightning up. Especially with summer coming to an end (EEKK I can't believe I just said that), it will be nice to have some friendly reminders of summer during the fall and winter months.

Sneak Peek

A sneak peek of a fun photoshoot I had with Sam. We had some good laughs, and fun finding new locations!

Hunter in Training.

Jared and his 2 buddies have always been avid hunters and fishers. While away at one of Jared's friends' wedding..Dominic got a gift from "uncle" Jeff. Needless to say he was more than enthused about it. I, on the other hand, a little more apprehensive about the whole idea. And it may be awhile before he is ever allowed to use it.

He couldn't have wiped the smile off his face if he wanted to!

Goose Walk

You can't walk in Wascana Park,Regina, without seeing tons of these!

One Big Huge Camping MESS!!

Paige doesn't mind getting dirty while camping, and her face her proves just that!

Canada at Flight

I love catching any type of bird as they take flight, especially out of the water. So serene.

Fun Fishing

Our family LOVES fishing, and our dogs are no exception. Storm loves to jump in the water to try and catch fish that are released. Don't worry she's not fast enough!

Mallory

Had a great time with my sister, Mallory, in beautiful ol' Moose Jaw. I got some great location tips for my next shoot in MJ, from a local photographer, so that was an extra bonus.
We had a lot of fun together!

Itty Bitty

I am loving how close-up I can get with my macro lens! These flowers are the size of a tip of your pinky finger (if that)

Pelican March

I wasn't even aware that Pelican's came to the Alameda Dam, but I definetly wasn't going to argue, they were fun to take photo's of.

Raindrops

Had fun playing with my new macro lens today with some fresh raindrops!

Mom & Dad

Had fun down at the Legislative Buildings in Regina, taking some photos for my parents. They are such a riot to be around, not to mention to snap photos of!

Amber

Had some fun in Regina taking photos of my sister. We had fun finding old buildings and fun places to snap some photos. Here is a sneak peak
