Grass is Greener!!

My grass is growing in the front yard!! I will post pics later, b/c I know you are all just as excited about it as me!!!

We have FINALLY started painting the kids room. We primed the whole room last night. And tonight we will get the roof and closet 's first coat of paint. Hopefully later tom. I will be able to start painting the fun stuff on the walls!!

Last weekend was quite the busy weekend. We had our fundraising garage sale for Relay for Life and raised a lot of money for our team! Following that, I headed off to Denise's stagette. It was a lot of fun.

I am hoping to have kind of a "breather" weekend this weekend. Besides painting my little heart away in the bedroom and doing the house cleaning. I do not intend to do a whole heck of a lot. R-E-L-A-X. I think the kids will enjoy that too, we always seem to be running somewhere.

Next weekend, my little Paige turns TWO!! And she is definetly progressing into her terrible two's (then three's then fours). I have no doubt in my mind that the "terrible two's" go on much longer than just the one year!! Dominic is my proof of that!!

Also next weekend will be the big Relay for Life that I have been nagging you all about!!! (to no avail apparently haha). And then after walking in it all night, we are going to Denise & Eric's wedding. It will be a very busy-tiresome weekend.

Is anyone else getting excited for the first pre-season game for the Riders? I am very excited for the season to start. Even though it means going to Regina every other weekend, which doesn't help with our "always on the run" situation.

The kids are both doing great. Every time I go into their bedroom to do more work on it , Dominic gets so excited b/c he knows when it's done they will have bunk beds. However I do not think we have Dad completely convinced to set them up as bunk beds. We'll see b/c I know Dom would be overjoyed to have the beds set up as bunk beds.

As always, I will post pics later. Hopefully by...hmmm I'll be generous and say ...the end of June, we will have the kids room completely finished and set up. That should give us lots of time, but we'll see haha.

Photo Happy!!!

I am very excited today. Last night I enrolled in a photography course. It is offered through the New York Institute of Photography. I have seen some work from a few people that have taken it through them, so am very confident that this is what I want. I have been talking about taking this course since early fall!! So I am very excited to finally be enrolled.

Now I just have to play the waiting game , while I wait for my course materials!

Weekend Away!!

This past weekend we went with 2 other couples to Minot, ND. We had such a good time, once we got over all the hotel drama. A mixup, that was annoying but turned out not to be that bad, we didn't let it affect our weekend!! There were 6 adults, and 5 kids altogether and everyone had a very fun weekend! I even got sunburnt. We went to the zoo at 10 am , and I was burnt by the time we left at noon!

This week has been very quite around our house. Jared left bright and early Tues morning to go out to Red Deer to pick up the new rig he will be working on. He won't be back til late Thursday or possibly even Friday. AND my sister moved out. So it's just been me and the kids, and actually we've been doing pretty good, I am working these 3 days, but we are adjusting to the quietness of the house. Even Bella notices that things are not the same, she misses Jared. I don't blame her b/c I won't deny that Jared loves her more than I do.

Wii Fit went on sale today, but of course I am working and cannot go find it anywhere. Everywhere is already sold out anyways, so oh well.

On Monday we went over to Barb & Scott's as they were building a new deck. They have such a gorgeous farm and house and everything. That is where Eric & Denise's ceremony will be for their wedding on June 7th. It will be gorgeous!!!

Town-wide garage sales this weekend!! Our relay for life team is holding one at Sarah's house (613 Peters Ave) and all proceeds will be going to the relay for life. We are going to have a wide variety of stuff, as well as baking, and a fish pond for kids to win prizes at and a Penny Drive. Iced Tea will be sold as well. So stop on by and help support us!!

i'm craving taco's for supper..I wish the kids enjoyed them as much as I do..

Tonights agenda: Start priming the kids room, do some laundry, water my garden and grass seeds (haha), and mow the grass that is already grown. Let's see how far I get...

Chin up!

As I have stated before, this past week has been a very rough week emotionally. I am glad to say this week is looking much brighter!! Here's why:

--I am only working part time now so health issues and family can be priority now!!
--I booked a doctor's appoint, to try and get SOMETHING resolved about my tumors ( I have been waiting for a year and a half for a specialist appoint...RIDICULOUS!)
--We planted grass in our front yard.
--We planted our garden
--I got to go fishing for mother's day!!
--I get to go to Minot this weekend!!
--The kids bedroom is FINALLY finished sanding. No not finished completely, just the sanding, which means I can start with the painting!!
--My mom came down for a visit on the weekend, and that always cheers me up!
--Survivor Finale was on!! This is kind of a bad thing too though, b/c no more Survivor til September. But it was a great season!!!
--Dominic's play school has their concert tomorrow night!!

So my new motto this week, is "Smile, keep your chin up, it gets easier". Sometimes it just takes saying that to yourself a couple times when your down in the dumps to turn your day around.

Frustrating.

I am finding work very frustrating lately. As if leaving my kids at home isn't hard enough...especially when I don't NEED to work. I just did it to better my life, and thought it was the right choice. It definetly wasn't for the money, with the cost of daycare, lunches and gas ..believe me my choice wasn't about money.

Anyways , I work in the office at my job. And it has came to my attention that a couple people have been flipping out about me behind my back, but then are nice as pie to my face. I do not really understand this behavious, and believe that at 25 years old I am above that phase of my life. And a person would think, that these "people" would be too.

I have really been second guessing my choice. I thought things were going so good at first, I sacrificed my time at home with the kids so that I could get some experience in the work force. And to be treated like this is quite unfair. And lately I've really been thinking about it b/c it is starting to affect my home life and how I feel all the time I am at home.

I need some advice with how to deal with this. I am losing my mind and have no idea what to do with myself.

Before and After

Dominic, maybe a couple days old. LOOK AT THE HAIR!!!!!! and no he NEVER lost it!!!
Dominic just before his 4th birthday, such a little heartbreaker and YES still TONS of hair.
Paige, a few days old.. bald as can be!!!
Paige a couple months before her 2nd birthday. Doesn't even look like the same kid, finally has hair even though it's still very very fine and mom can't braid it yet...
So if anyone ever harps on me for being so "cliche" for saying WOW time passes way too fast, I will refer them to this blog. These pics prove that your kids change right before your eyes!!!

Yarrrr Matey!!!

Saturday we celebrated Dominic's 4th birthday. His actual bday was on Wed Apr 30. He had such a blast with all his friends, and it was just all around fun.

The cakes were both made by my good friend, Denise Bigney. The above is the Treasure Chest Cake, and below is the map to find the treasure chest. The kids had so much fun going on a little hunt to find the treasure!
All the kids running around after the Pinata broke!! The little pirates definetly knew to steal whatever treasure they could fast, before another pirate took it from under their nose
Ahoy Matey!!! Willis, Tyson and Dominic sporting their Pirate hats they made, and their eye patches.

Birthday parties can definetly be chaotic but they are so much fun!!! Paige's this year is gonna be lower key..but I think we will have her a themed birthday next year too!!

Dauphin

Our family had such a good time in Dauphin, and as promised I am posting pics!!

Bella loving being on the farm.
