Insane you ask?? not quite

For those of you who can relate to me, and by relate to me I mean plan your own wedding not have your parents plan it, my mind seems to be scatterbrained the past bit. So much to do, that my minds goes into overdrive.

Me: DO THIS, AND THIS, oh AND this, oh and don't forget about THIS, and that other thing you had to do, and what about this?

My mind: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SLOW DOWN!!!!!!

However, everything is falling into place....some days I wish I was a mommy suck that got my mom to plan the whole wedding. Then I think, what satisfaction is that? This is Jared and I's day...we should be the one's planning it, and by "we" I definetly mean ME! I shouldn't say that...Jared has had a little input, but need I say to emphasize the word LITTLE! With him working AT LEAST 12 hour days, he's not much help in the planning process. This summer has been nuts.

I have already attended 3 weddings this year, the next one is ours, and then we still have one more after ours!!!

I have been fretting about my dad getting back from work. For those that don't know, he works overseas in Oman on the drilling rigs. He was due to come back on July 19th, and still hasn't got home. His relief keeps not showing up, therefore delaying him from getting home. If things go right this time (which they have been known to NOT happen in the past 2 weeks), he will be arriving in Minot on Thursday. SUCH a relief. Jared and I are using his old souped up Mustang for our "departing vehicle" at the wedding. So that also had me a little worried, as he needs to fix something on it.

So I am thankful that things are falling into place. I am running like a chicken with it's head cut off the next week, so my apologies if I don't get to blogging again before the wedding (but I'm sure I will find time).

The next week's Agenda:

Thursday August 2 : Minot to pick up my dad
Saturday August 4: Regina for my stagette
Wednesday August 8: Regina for our GLAM appoint's at EN VOGUE day spa!
Thursday August 9: Color and nails at Salon Diosa
Friday August 10: Kenosee bound for rehearsal and to set up!!!

BUSY BUSY!!!

Loose Ends

Well our bathroom is mostly complete ..emphasizing MOSTLY.

This is the only pic I have of "before". Our tub, toilet and sink, were all that hideous blueish gray color, and all chipping and rusting.

The during...oh man was it a disaster. Note the ugly blue wallpaper.

And most of the junk that was laying outside afterwards
AND NOW I AM PLEASED TO PRESENT:

As you can see, there is still a few loose ends to tie up. The Jacuzzi has not been hooked up yet..so the apron for the tub is not on yet.

The baseboards still have to be put in, as well as the light switch covers and plug in covers...
And of course....the door...no door yet. But I can handle that...at least we have a fully functional bathroom again!!

Blogdom

AKA boredom.

When I am bored throughout my day, I love to check out people's blogs and read what they have been up to. However in these summer months everyone seems to be crazy busy. I guess I am too. But hardly anyone blogs anymore.

Why is this?? Am I the only that tries to ESCAPE the heat by staying inside in the A/C, is everyone else out there ENJOYING the heat?? Perhaps I should do the same, my yard needs some TLC, but also I have a list of "to-do's" for the upcoming wedding.

Mostly I am just very bored right now. I shall go and try to accomplish something now

Allisha and Rob's wedding

Allisha and Rob got married on July 28th. It was a beautiful service, however, it was also probably one of the longest Catholic weddings I have been to. But it was worth it, b/c to be there and share on their day was just sensational!

Jared, of course, had to work (just like he's worked every other wedding I went to this year)...so I went solo. Well actually Cara's boyfriend, Justin, had his own wedding to go to...so Cara and I were each other's dates. My mom kept the kids and I stayed at Heidi and Derek's place. By 11 I was terribly missing the kids. Watching all the other kids running around dancing, but I made the right choice...b/c I would've been stresssed out having 2 kids in a hot building with no help from Jared. It was styfling (spelling???) hot in the hall, I was sweating just from sitting there.

Allisha and Rob's wedding was also the last wedding I attended before my own. It really is sneaking up and I am super super excited!! A few little stresses, but all in all, I can't be more happy!

Allisha looking beautiful
Their beautiful cake!
And cutting the cake:
Heidi and Derek at the reception
Allisha and I dancing away...well posing at this given time..
CONGRATULATIONS ALLISHA AND ROB!!! It was a joyful experience to be a part of your day!

Two Weeks!!

Only 16 sleeps until the wedding!! I am getting so excited. And a little stressed, but that's to be expected when we are planning to have 200 people at the wedding!

Paige's dress is made and here, a long with the homemade "guest book", and Dom's suit..really our only stress right now is getting a liquor license. I actually did have it, but then discovered it's void b/c I need to get permission from the provincial park to have a tent. Kind of aggravating, I wish the rental lady would have told us that when we rented it. Oh well, that will all get dealt with tomorrow on my way to Indian Head.

A lady I talked to summed a wedding up quite well. "it's a lot like Christmas, you prep and plan SO MUCH for one day..then it's over in the blink of an eye." It's so true. Until I started planning our wedding, I never realized how much work goes into the one day.

I've had to laugh a lot this past week..b/c of things going wrong (like the liquor license...ok that's the only thing haha). Anyways nerves and stress are starting to pile up behind my excitement. I am really nervous about everyone staring at me while I walk down the aisle. Another lady told me, "oh no, don't be nervous, just look at everyone, and in your head laugh at what they're wearing." haha I thought that was cute.

A lot of people ask, why Kenosee? B/c I am from Oxbow and Jared from Dauphin. Our main reason is b/c it is BEAUTIFUL: That's the Chalet in which we will be getting married in front of.

Just wait til you see the pics!!! Sorry no sneak peeks at the dress, I haven't let anyone besides my bridesmaids, mom and stepdad see it. You'll have to wait...nothing like the element of surprise!

Non wedding Related: This is who I am rooting for on Big brother!!

Sneak Peek

Well our bathroom just has a few finishing touches to be done to it and then we can finally say it's FINISHED!!
Here is a sneak peak :

Paige playing with the water in the tub

Paige and Dominic having a bath together. They love it, last night before bed they had their "bedtime bath" and this morning Dom woke up asking to please have another bath. Note how deep it is!! The kids heads don't even reach the top of the tub. It's incredible and I can't wait to have the first jacuzzi bath in it!

Our super sweet shower head!! It's HUGE. I saw it at Heidi and Derek's house, it was just so awesome I had to get one of our own!
So there you have it. That's all to see for now!

My Mini Stagette

I am so lucky, I get to have two stagette's. The first one is considered my "mini" stagette. B/c it was just a small backyard gathering to include my sister Mallory who is not old enough to get in anywhere.

So we started the day off by taking the kids down to the River. It was such a hot day we didn't stay for long. But Dominic did go "fishing" (with a stick)

And Paige well mostly she sat up under the blanket for shade and popcorn twists.

Later that night the "stagette" portion started. This is a pic of me with my hottie whistle

Me and little sister Mallory (one of my bridesmaids)
Mhmmm..the yummy martini's we started drinking. Kicked most of our butts..but they were sure yummy, I had never had one before.
My sister Amber, also younger. She is my maid of honor. Looks like she is doing a truth or dare. (my other bridesmaid , Heidi, didn't come to this mini stagette. But she will be there full force for the bar edition of my stagette. and I am a little worried about it!)
Jen looking oh so impressed to have her pic taken.
Marcy sticking her tongue out. haahha
April and Sam. And you can see my hottie in the background haha
Jocelyn and Mallory and their matching bathing suits ..too funny
All in all, I had a wonderful time. It was so fun, playing 3000, truth or dare, and going on our mini adventure. Trying martini's for the first time, drinking my beer out of a penis shaped cup. And all in all just having a good time with just the girls. Having mallory's friends there was so much fun. We originally just planned for it to be the sisters and Amber's roomate..but we added to it, and are so glad we did..sooooo much fun!!!
THANKS GIRLS!

Busy busy bee

Not awhole lot happening in our house. Busy cleaning and organizing like you've never seen before. My first stagette is this weekend. And the wedding is creeping up, so I want the house spotless. My uncle and aunt used to own this house way back in the day...so they along with others, I am sure, will be popping by to see it around the wedding time.

Our bathroom is nearing completion. We went to put the tub surround in last night, only to discover that we needed paint thinner, b/c if any of the adhesive gets on the tub it must be taken off immediately with it (paint thinner). It's just down to getting everything put up in there. It's all painted and ready for everything. Stay tuned for after pics coming shortly!

I go for my hair trial tomorrow afternoon! I am quite excited about that. I can't believe only 3 weeks until the wedding!! Today I organized all the seating for the supper. It was stressful but will be nice to have.

Well I am going to go set up a "sample" table (for the wedding). I'm going to set it up how I want and then take a pic so everyone that is helping to decorate will know what to do.

Rider game tomorrow night!! Not a home game though, so I will be watching it from my living room!!

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!! Oh and here is a pic of the last rider game:

WE BLEED GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, July 16

Still bleeding Green.

Well we lost against the BC Lions. So now they are first in the CFL and we are second. I honestly think BC is a very strong team, so we need (and by we I clearly mean the Riders) need to step up our game!! I can't make it to the next home game. BOO.. But it's for a good reason. My good Friend Allisha is getting married!!! after hers it's only 2 weeks until mine!! OMG!! it's coming so fast and I'm scared we're not ready!!

The pics are on my sis's camera, and I'm pretty sure she hasn't uploaded them to the computer. As soon as she does I will post some pics.

Paige is still not walking yet. I may have said this before but Dom didn't walk until 15 mths, so I'm not worried. She's a little pip squeak, can't expect her to do everything real early! haha.

We finally have a toilet in our bathroom! We are busy trying to get the mudding done...so that we can start painting. Once that's done (hopefully by tomorrow night or Wed morn), then we get to start putting it altogether!! I am excited to show you all the during and after pics.

My Oxbow stagette is this weekend. Everyone is welcome!!! This is just a backyard fire kinda deal, so that my sister Mallory (who is a minor) can be a part of it. We are trying to make plans to go boating, and then whatever else my lovely bridesmaids have planned for me!

Well I must go get ready, and get the kids up and fed so we can head off to Estevan, and hopefully be back before Mallory even wakes up!

Success!!

Back in May I decided to start giving myself credit every month for my accomplishments...and then I kind of forgot to do it.

Here's June's:

Applied for jobs. I had one interview, but turned down the job. Oh well, now with the wedding getting so close, I guess it's better that I just wait.

Did Mallory's hair for her grad pictures, and then for her grad. She loved it and I was very happy and excited to do it

--colored and cut my mom's hair. It was very much in need, and looks incredible. I don't have a pic though.

--filed all our bills and paperwork!

--ordered our wedding bands

--tried my dress on.. and YAY it fits !!

--bought myself a beautiful dress for Mal's grad. That doesn't sound like an accomplishment, but I have not only been lacking in buying myself clothes but also in just having anything remotely nice that fits!
--I also bought myself some nice dressy clothing (blazer with dress pants, and a couple other items). I needed it! So this month I really succeeded in buying myself some things!
That's it for now..this is causing me to think too much..haha I need to get back to work on our bathroom. It's getting closer and closer to finished! Finished pics should be up early next week!

Appreciate

Sometimes it takes not having something, to really appreciate it! Thus is the story for my bathroom. It has been a week and a half of using other people's showers and potties, and bathing the kids in the kitchen sink. And we still are not done!! With Jared going to work every day and not getting home until 8 most nights, it is hard to do much.
So far we have:

--tore everything out, including dry wall and the roof and floor (we were not expecting to have to do the roof and floor, tearing out the floor took up a whole day)

--put new water pipes running into the bathroom.

--put up new dry wall

--put the sub flooring in

--installed the tub!!! (it is sooo incredibly deep and I look forward to using it so much) This sounds like it was easy but it took almost 3 days to do..We couldn't get it plumbed in..and by 'we' I clearly mean Jared, tee hee.

We are now ready to put in the ceramic tile (which will take 2 days if everything goes smoothly), so that will be started tonight. We are also ready to mud and tape the dry wall.
Once the ceramic tile is in, and the dry wall is finshed getting mudded..We can paint the wallsand install the toilet and sink!!!! Stay tuned for finished pics!

In other news, our wedding bands came in!! And my engagement ring was away getting sized and polished up! It looks awesome!!! Exactly one month today until our wedding!!! It is coming very very fast!
Here is a pic of us all sunburnt while camping.

The Big 2-5

Yep it's official, I am a quarter century old! It's weird how birthdays are not as significant as you get older. It kind of makes me sad. oh well.

I celebrated my birthday at the Rider game!! It was an incredible game!! We played Calgary Stamps and won 49-8!!! It was a great birthday present!

I forgot my camera..and even though I reminded Amber to bring hers, she also forgot hers. So no pics of this game, which is too bad b/c Lance and I were totally decked out with Green faces. It was great!

Wow my kids must have been worn out b/c it's 10:30 and they're not up yet!! This is VERY unusual.

I wanted to say that , for the 3rd month in a row I've made Curves' Top Ten Losers. Feels great!!

Sorry this is going to be short today. Will update soon

Busy Life

Well Mal's grad is over , SHE DID IT!!! I knew she could. She looked absolutely stunning! Sorry no pics today, blogger is being a pain in my you know what. You can checkout facebook though

Camping was excellent. Friday Jared came home with the kids, and Me and my 3 siblings went camping. Sunday we went to the waterslides and got incredibly burnt, but it was well worth it! Sunday night we headed down to the beach to see the fireworks. It wasn't that fun b/c the mosquitos were TERRIBLE , I had bug spray on and was still getting bites from the little buggers.

Going to the fireworks really made me miss the kids, and wish I had them with me. Jared's mom had came down for the weekend to keep the kids. So they got to go on a hay ride on Canada Day, and had a lot of fun from what Ihear.

On Monday I met Jared in Carlyle and we headed up to Regina to buy bathroom stuff. Oh man..I wish I could upload a pic b/c it's hard to explain what a mess the bathroom was when we got home. If I haven't mentioned it before, over the weekend Jared totally gutted our bathroom. However, when I got home there was still a lot of demolition to do. So much that we JUST started putting things back together last night!!! So we have some dry wall up...looks like another 4 days probably before I have a toilet or shower. kinda bites but we had a lot of unexpected circumstances (just like reno shows on TV), we had to take all the flooring out b/c it was warped and rotted, and let me tell you it wasn't an easy job (well for Jared haha) and also ended up having to dry wall the roof. lots of fun in our house. Especially when my bridal shower is tomorrow and I have a lot of out of town people coming that I would like to invite over but can't.

I can't believe my shower is tomorrow already WOW!!! One month until the wedding. It's getting so exciting.

Well I am going down to start painting Mal's room. That's the one thing I CAN do while Jared is at work.

Sunday I am the big 25, quarter century!!! And to celebrate....RIDER GAME IN REGINA!!!! Busy weekend!

Week 16 -- Green

While camping with my siblings, Lance Amber and Mallory, this Canada Day weekend. We had some fun taking "scary pics"...most of which did not turn out so scary..but it was fun, we're all kids at heart..and since my 2 kids were with their Gramma Tracy, we had to amuse ourselves. this photo was a "creepy stalker in the bushes", but just like most of the pic's didn't turn out scary...this one turned out more of the bush, than of the innocent stalkees. haha, however it is a neat pic for this week's color.

And of course, I can't post Green pics without posting some RIDER PRIDE pics. So here again is my sister Amber, me , and my brother Lance at the last Rider game in Regina.
