Our 2007 Family Review
January, February and March just seem like a blur of the past. With not much happening, but keeping warm inside. Jared and I did venture out to Edmonton with no kids in tow. We had quite a nice time relaxing and visiting some of my high school friends. I started a class in January to go towards my business certificate, with hopes of doing it again this January.
April brought about a birthday month..with Dominic turning 3 and Jared turning 24. It's hard to believe that time can fly by like that.
May was a little depressing for us, as we lost my dear grandpa. It was a hard month. But he was safe up in heaven, and that brought us some comfort. My cousin Tara got married in Moose Jaw so I was up there for that. This was also the month my photo obsession began, with the purchase of a new camera I wanted to make sure to catch every moment.
June was a very busy month for us. Our dear baby Paige, turned ONE YEAR old!! Still not walking or talking much..but definetly growing each and every day. Mid June we headed up to Saskatoon, for my cousin Pam's wedding. That was such a fun and memorable day. End of June my baby sister graduated high school, so a trip to Indian Head to congratulate and celebrate with her. June started the Rider football season as well, where Jared and I had season tickets. I was always on the run to Regina..couldn't miss a game!
July was my big quarter century birthday, which was also a hard day. As my grampa and I shared the same birthday..and this was my first without him. Also big plans started evolving, as Jared and I anticipated our big wedding day. I had my stagette this month, which was a lot of fun. The kids and I enjoyed lots of play dates with Marissa and her two kids, Tyson and Amoriah. Fishing was also a big part of our spare time rituals. My good friend Allisha got married this month in Regina, and I was so happy to be there and see her wed Rob. My sister Mallory, moved down to Oxbow and has been living with Jared and I. We also endured a month long renovation to our bathroom. Not fun, but it is nice to have a decent bathroom!!
August came and went in a flash. Jared and I uniting as one on August 11. A week later we were up to Wolseley for our good friends Barret and Kandi's wedding. Celebrating with them was so much fun.
September, my little boy started playschool and story hour. He is growing up so fast, before I know it both my munchkins will be in school! We had football games to attend, with tensions getting high as the Riders began to see the Grey Cup light.
October, was thanksgiving which we celebrated just at home. Then headed down to Minot the day after for a litte Sale shopping. A trip to Dauphin was also done this month, with some pics taken in hopes of getting a decent one for Christmas cards. I started working part time at C & N Oilfield and will begin full time work there in January. Little Paige finally started to walk!
November was fun, with a home playoff game for the Riders, and then the big Grey cup win. My dad got in for back surgery to have a couple lumps removed. It was stressful and worriesome, but he is doing very well, and is back to work in Oman as of Dec 18th. We also had my work Christmas party down in Minot. Had a blast down there and finished up some Christmas shopping.
December..oh now this is much easier to remember. We headed off to Vegas from the 10th -15th with some friends of ours. It was such a good time, we hope to go back in a couple of years. Christmas came and went in the blink of an eye. The kids had such a blast, and are enjoying playing with their new toys. I must admit, I am kind of enjoying playing with the new toys too.
And now was we say good-bye to 2007, and welcome 2008. I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!
Some of the things we are looking forward to in 2008:
Dominic turning 4 and Paige turning 2!!!
Jared and I's one year wedding anniversary.
Jamaica next Christmas, for my best friend Heidi's wedding!
Hopefully finishing our house renovations.
Monday, December 17
Vegas Baby.
We had such a great time. We started Monday off kinda low key, went to the Rio and checked it out, and then went for supper at Buzio's. Which is a classy seafood restaurant, that I really didn't enjoy. But oh well, it was alright.
Tuesday we got up and went to Cowboy Christmas (which is kind of like Agribition, has all the booths and such). It was so fun, we got both the kids a pair of cowboy boots, and Dominic got a Cowboy hat. Following that I went with a walk with Jared and Bubba and we checked out the Wynn and the Fashion Show Mall.
Wednesday we went and got some 1/2 price tickets for Stomp out Loud at Planet Hollywood for that night. During the day we went shopping at the Outlet Mall..and WOW did we ever find deals, it was so so so fun. all the brand names, and ya it was just great, we pretty much finished our Christmas shopping there. Then we headed for Planet Hollywood got our tickets and decided to go for lunch at the Harley Davidson Cafe. It was SOOO cool, and the food was actually very very good. Huge ass portions!
Stomp out Loud was AMAZING. I will rave about it for a long time to come I am sure. If you have the chance see it, b/c I just loved it and was in awe. Afterwards we went to the Paris and went up the Eiffel Tower, which was really cool.
Thursday we headed to Madam Toussad's wax museum, and toured the casino's down by it. Jared and I got tickets to go see Bill Engvall (He's part of the Blue Collar Comedy with Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy). He was so funny, we had a great time at him. Then we headed over to the stratosphere. Some of the group went on the ride , not I though..NO THANKS. We were already up 108 floors, and that was good enough for me.
Friday, all the ladies went over to Cowboy Christmas again for a bit, while the guys played in a poker tournament and then went to the gun range. For supper we went to the Hard Rock Cafe, which was pretty good. We got souvenir glasses from pretty much every restaurant we went to..well ok 3 of them. But even better, they all made it back home!!
After supper, Jared and I went our own way and toured the MGM, coke store, M & M store, the New York New York, and Mandalay Bay.
Over all we had a marvelous time. And I think I am hooked on going on a yearly vacation from now on. I get to stick to that for at least one more year anyways...Heidi is getting married in Jamaica and I am in her wedding..so YA BABY!! We are excited for that!
Take a look at my pics on facebook.
Oh and Tonight is My stampin Up party. I will also be serving some munchies from Epicure (which I sell). Let's get together and have a night together before Christmas.

Product Spotlight - Chocolate!!!
Did you know that 5.4 kg of chocolate is consumed
per person each year in Canada?
Chocolate boasts a rich supply of phenyl ethylamine,
a naturally-occurring substance in the body, believed
by some researchers to fight the “blues".
When a recipe calls for a dusting of flour, use VE Pure
Cocoa for an extra dash of chocolate taste.
TIPS FOR BELGIAN CHOCOLATE SAUCE
Recipe is found on the VE Dark Belgian Chocolate container
And Try this Recipe:
Chocolate Fondue,
½ cup butter
½ cup Epicure Cocoa
¾ cup sugar
½ cup Evaporated Milk
1 teaspoon Epicure Vanilla
½ cup Epicure Belgian Chocolate (I like to use white)
Melt butter over low heat, remove from heat. Stir in cocoa and mix well.
Add sugar, vanilla, evaporated milk and return to heat. Cook until sugar is melted.
Add Belgian chocolate, stir until melted. Freezes great!
Perfect for chocolate fondue – dip fruit, pieces of pound cake or toasted cubes
of angel food cake
Serve warm over ice cream
Drizzle over fresh fruit and berries
Sauce thickens when chilled, making a decadent icing for cakes, brownies and
cupcakes
TIPS FOR MAKING
CHOCOLATE TIRAMISU CUPS
If you prepare extra Chocolate Tiramisu Cups at the Tasting Party, take them home
to use at your next chocolate theme party.
Slowly tip cups when spooning in melted chocolate. You may need to use the back
of a spoon to help with coating. Tip cups and pour excess chocolate into mixing
bowl. Repeat until all cups are coated, ensuring edges of the silicone cups
are clean.
Carefully remove cups from moulds. This can be a little tricky.
If they break, simply re-melt chocolate and pour back in.

Successfully Melting Chocolate
VE Belgian Chocolate is simply the best! Th e chip form is easy to measure,
and the small size and high cocoa butter content allows for quick, effi cient melting.
Discover how easy it is to create chocolate dipped strawberries–the thin layer of
coating gives a beautiful glossy finish. The most important thing to remember
when melting premium chocolate is not to use excessive heat. Keep water or
steam completely away from chocolate. Moisture is the enemy!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MELTING CHOCOLATE
Place VE Belgian Chocolate in a dry bowl and set aside.
Bring 2 cups (500 ml) water to a boil in a multi-purpose pot. Turn off heat.
Remove multi-purpose pot from stove top. Set bowl of chocolate on
top of pot. Stir frequently to promote faster melting.
Once chocolate is melted, dry off outside of bowl with a kitchen towel.
Proceed to make chocolate cups, fruit and almond bark, or use to dip
strawberries or crystallized ginger. For best results, melted chocolate
should be warm, not hot.

Can someone please stop the clock?
House work is driving me mad. I have two other adults living here that are fully capable of helping, but don't, so I think that makes me most mad. I still love them to pieces, but about ready to strangle them both!
The kids have started going to Jayden's now. Which is nice b/c at least with them out of the house while I am working, the house sort of stays the way I leave it. I'm not even going to ellaborate on this house bit, b/c it is making me bawl it frustrates me so much. The kids seem to like going to Jayden's. Paige cries when I drop them off, but she always cries...she's a mommy suck. Dominic was a little upset the first day, but got over it quickly when he found out she had TOYS (of all things! haha)
My kids love getting into Baby Powder....
Jared has been working lots (I don't think that ever changes). He always works, which is nice for the bank account, not so nice for the family aspect. We rarely see him, especially the kids. Most nights they are in bed before he gets home, and he is gone to work before they get up.
The good ol' COLD has made it's way into our house. I am still having coughing fits (hopefully it doesn't progress into something, as it always has in the past), Paige has a VERY runny nose and coughing fits, Jared is just getting over his, and Dominic has yet to be bothered by all our germs.
I have a busy busy week this week. And though it is going to kill me, I have decided not to be present for dad's surgery tomorrow. I will never forgive myself if something goes wrong..I just have such a full plate this week, and nowhere to stay in Regina I just couldn't do it. Friday I work the day at C & N, the night at the bow. Then I have to wake up the next morning..drive to Gainsborough and finalize everything from my Epicure party..then drive to Minot to shop and then for my C & N Christmas party. Then Sunday is the Grey Cup, and Monday I have to drive to Regina to get dad! So you can see, why I opted out of lugging two kids to Regina for a rushed, tension filled trip to Regina, to sit in a hospital majority of the day! The Christmas Party is KID FREE, so I am excited..However Jared can't come , b/c his toolpush already has the days off. Which is SSOO annoying, not that his toolpush already has the days off, just that he can't come to the party. B/c Precision doesn't do a single thing for their employees for Christmas. No bonus, no supper, no nothing..Oh wait..he usually gets a piece of paper saying "Thanks For Being a Part of Our Team". So generous.
And in 2 1/2 weeks, we will be kid-free for a week!!! While we go to Vegas with some friends. I am pretty sure my sister is stressing out, but it will be good for her. If nothing else, it will be a GREAT birth control!!
Birthdays are popping up too. My mom's is this Saturday, and Mallory's is next Friday. Then Lance's is on the 8th. Like I said earlier..time is going MUCH to fast!
I had my first Epicure party last night and it was a success!! She had over $500 in sales, and therefore is going to get TONS of free stuff including :
Free Tote Bag
Free Cook book or set of teatowels
$50 in free merchandise
a Hostess only special
the Spice Duo for only $8
a free dip duo
and any one item at half price!
If you are interested in holding a taste-testing party, or a silent book party..Let me know!

Excitement!!!
Now as you may remember, I had an interview with C & N Oilfield Maintenance almost 2 weeks ago now. They said they would get back to me by the 19th (yesterday). I didn't hear anything, so assumed I didn't get it..well as luck would have it at 9:48 this morning they called and I got the job!!!!!!!!!!! One person has told me they may be hard to work for...but it's just temporary (a Mat leave position), and it gives me office experience!! I am very excited. Now I just need a vehicle that isn't so hard on gas haha!!
Tuesday is my first day there, and then I will still be working weekend nights at the Bow. My kids are going to have to experience life without ma-ma. It saddens me a little, but at the same time, it very much excites me..I like being in the workforce and contributing...but I do wonder...how the house will suffer from my absence???
Wish me luck, it's been over 2 years since I've been in the workforce!!

On Thanksgiving weekend, Jared ended up getting the weekend off and on the Sunday we went down to Minot for the night. The kids had so much fun playing in the pool. We ate at this restaurant Sunday night called "Up the Creek". It was really really amazing. It is a steak and seafood kind of place, and noone in our group had ate there before. Jared wanted to be adventorous and try mussels for our appetizer, I didn't try any, I wasn't feeling as adventerous as him. I had the steak and shrimp combo, it was my first time eating shrimp and I loved it. Jared had the seafood trio or something. It had salmon, and 2 other seafoods, but I can't remember what.
Last weekend, Jared had a booked weekend off so we went up to Dauphin ( I know TWO weekends in a row!!! I was pumped). Jared's parents live on a farm, and they have pigs and cows and horses..and let's just say Dominic LOVES it, and Paige is starting to! We got some really cute photos while we were there.
This weekend is just as busy. The kids and I are going up to Indian Head tomorrow, and I am going to the football game on Sunday.
I take my jeep in next week for warranty work. Yipee. Dominic gets to dress up for Story hour next thursday he's pretty excited about that.
Other than that, our only exciting news is we are going to VEGAS!! We are actually there for 5 days, but we're gone from the kids for 7 days!!! I don't think I've ever been away from them for that long. That will be hard, but I am sure we will thoroughly enjoy ourselves. We are flying out of Bismark, ND straight to Las Vegas..and I just can't get over how dirt cheap it is!!
So we have a busy next year of trips to save up for. We still have our honeymoon to go on at the end of March. Then next Christmas is Heidi's wedding in Jamaica! At least they are all spread out.
Well I better get to tidying up before I leave. I can't stand leaving somewhere, and coming home to a messy house.

I will send your order directly to you, so if you are far away don't worry about not being near me to pick it up.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I got a new lens for my camera. For anyone that is familiar with, it is a 70-300 mm, which ,for those of you who aren't familiar, just means it zooms quite the distance! I also got a camera bag and tripod. I'm set!! ...for a little while anyways haha.
Last night we headed out to my gramma's farm for a nice thanksgiving supper, it was so splendid! The kids were just excited to be out at "ma-ma's" farm.
This morning I got a phone call from a job I applied at a few weeks ago. It's with C & N Oilfield Maintenance, an office job! I'm pretty stoked to have finally got an interview somewhere, not even thinking about if I get the job!
But I suppose I should get myself cleaned up and proffesionalized!! (which may be tough after being mom-alized for over a year here at home!) I have so many emotions running through me right now, anxious, scared, nervous, excited, sad (leaving the kids)..but I guess that's getting ahead of myself..we shall see how the interview goes and go from there.
Have a great Tuesday everyone!! We have a few short days at home, and are off to Dauphin on Friday for the weekend! Always run run run!
Friday, October 5
To do it ...or not to do it...
What a dreadful day it is outside today! Just makes me want to say BLAH! I, do think I will bake some cookies and a pie today though..maybe that will make me feel better.
I haven't been doing very well at taking pictures this week to put up here on the blog. We had some on the other camera of the Rider game, but that camera's batteries died and we haven't gotten around to recharging them yet.
Yesterday Dominic and I raked up our leaves and put our pumpkin bags in the front of the house--getting ready for Halloween. He enjoyed it so much, the smile on his face put a smile on my face (even though the job was a lot harder for me than for him as I sat there sweating! haha, worth every moment!)
Maybe I should start scrapbooking, or actually get some thank-you cards out (from the gifts for the wedding). I do have quite a lot I COULD do today, but the question is: do I have the motivation to start any of it?
Monday, October 1
A sad day in Glen Ewen history.
I feel terrible for Karolyn, the owner. She was upstairs sleeping (two people were) when this happened. We can thank the good lord that they are both ok! That is what really matters!
Finally a Rest!
I cannot believe today is October 1st! OCTOBER??!!! Wow time is just flying. Paige is full fledged walking now, actually she almost s tarted out running. It came so quick I am just shocked. It is so cute to hear two sets of feet pitter pattering across the floor now though. Melts my heart. Her and Dominic are starting to play together better and better every day.
May I say that Desperate Housewives last night was AWESOME!! As was brothers and sisters. I am such a TV junkie in the evenings, I can't help it!
Yesterday , my mom and stepdad passed through on their way back home from Minot. Had a nice visit with them. Also yesterday morning, some jerk (I won't say names, but if anyone knows the story, they know who did it) soaked two straw bales, set them in front of the glen ewen bar door and set them on fire! Two people were upstairs sleeping, thankfully are alive and fine. I am going to go for a drive and take some pics this morning.. It's sad b/c that bar was about all that Glen Ewen had, and they had really good wings!!! I feel terribly for Karolyn. I wish I had taken pics of it before, b/c it will be missed!!!
The Rider game on Saturday was a GREAT game! I took Mallory with me (b/c of course Jared couldn't use his ticket, b/c he couldn't get it off work), and we ended up taking both the kids too. They were very good and we enjoyed ourselves.
Before we left the city on Sat, I stopped to pick up a shelf thing for over our toilet, and here it was missing pieces, so now I have to return it and ya..I'm not to happy about it.

Runaway
Mallory found out her address, I found out if she had to work or not and asked my Gramma if she would keep the kids. The reason I did not take the kids is quite simple. It was a long drive and we were leaving Wednesday morning and coming back Thursday morning..so needless to say it was way too rushed of a trip to take the kids. You see, we found this out even more so when, what we thought was a 7-8 hour drive turned out to be a 9 1/2 hour drive. WOW!!!
Our butts, Our backs, Our eyes, Our arms..all sore from taking such a long trip...But you will hear no complaints, b/c the look on Amber's face when we opened her bedroom door made everything more than worth it!
Let me explain what happened. We should have been in Lethbridge about 7 pm (after leaving at about 9:45 AM), however...we thought our road said "detour" so we followed the detour...turns out it wasn't OUR road that detoured but one that connects to our road. So we took the scenic route and arrived in Lethbridge about 8 pm. I had map-quested her address and the directions took exactly to her house..no problems..well one problem, she wasn't home!!!
So we went and found a hotel room, called everyone and their dog trying to find out her friend's cell phone number and decided to go back to her house and check ( I had told her roomates to call me if she got home, but I wasn't sure they had long distance). Sure enough I saw her just going into her bedroom. we go up to the door and my cell rings (her roomates telling me she is home)..we had perfect timing. We walked into her room without knocking and yelled SURPRISE!!! I wish I would have had a camera b/c that moment was so precious. She was so excited to see us.
Here are some pics of all of us hanging out at the hotel room!

Fall
Dom, Bella and Paige. Both Dom and Paige wearing cute new outfits for the fall (not matching though). Paige's osk-kosh sweatsuit is my fave!! and all the Jeans they got are sSOO cute!
Saturday, September 22
Fall is definetly here!
These two pics of the kids are kinda old but I have no new ones. We are however going up to Regina for the Rider game and staying at the Delta so I'm sure I will get lots of cute pics (Dom is coming to the game with us) Paige gets to stay and go swimming at the hotel with Auntie.
Dom, down at the old boat launch, trying to be like daddy..only wearing gitchies b/c Daddy doesn't think ahead as well as mommy (if your going to the beach you might want swimming attire! haha).
Paige-ster running around with a Mega-bloks truck! Also a pic from a couple weeks ago. She is such a funny girl, she makes vroom'ing noises when playing with trucks, and roaring noises when playing with the little lions from "Noah's Ark", and then throws dolls out of her way. Poor girl is gonna be the one, that mommy has dressed all up girly in a skirt and she'll be out driving the quad in it or something. haha.
We got our fall cleaning finished!! Well I guess I still have the toy room to go through again. I have removed 3 boxes of toys and am determined to remove more before Christmas comes!
On Sunday night, my good friend Marcy, spur of the moment, asked me to go to the Rihanna/Akon concert with her in Saskatoon. I had no plans so said yes! I keep telling myself that I really haven't been to any concerts (I don't count Craven and Countryfest), but I guess I did go to Minot and see Martina McBride when I was young, and actually Our Lady Peace in Winnipeg a few years back.. But anyways, I was excited to go! And we had a lot of fun! Sorry no pics. Marcy took a disposable camera though, so when she gets those back I'll post some pics, if they turn out.
While I went to Saskatoon on Wednesday, Jared ended up having the day off, so him and my sister went out quadding while the kids hung out at my gramma's farm. This is one of the pics Mallory took at a farm yard south of town. I love it!
We are back to Regina again next weekend for another Rider game! the games are starting to get cold to sit at, man have I ever emphasized how much I don't care for winter?
Sunday, September 16
ouch
Today would definetly be Sunday and my legs are still SO sore that I can hardly move them, Marisa says it's b/c I have chicken legs and need to make some muscle. lol I think she could right! My legs definetly are in shock right now. I hope they recover by Tuesday's class!
Season finale of Big Brother : TUESDAY!!!!!
Season Premiere of Survivor: THURSDAY!!!
SATURDAY: Rider game in Regina!!! (have I ever stated how much I love having season tickets!)
This week is going to ROCK!!!
and then NEXT week...even more shows start premiering!! I'm such a TV Junkie, I can't help it.
Not much new in our household. Paige still not completely walking, but getting more confident at taking steps. Dom is rowdier than ever with his pup, Bella (in fact he got a bleeding lip yesterday b/c Bella wrestled him to the ground --not to worry, he is OK!).
Jared is working just as much as ever..and me, well I finally finished the last Harry Potter book and now do not know what I'm going to do. Read kid stories again, I suppose.
What's everyone's plans for Thanksgiving? It's coming up quickly! We are staying at home, having a small gathering. It should be fun! I love big meals..preparing them and eating them and laying on the couch afterwards..oh it's all so great!!
I better go put my roast in now, or it won't be cooked by suppertime!
A glimpse
If you have facebook, you can take a look there I've put the majority of them on there!

I also went and picked my dad up from the airport in Minot and got some shopping done for the kids. I got Paige's halloween costume too! Can't tell you what it is, you'll just have to wait and see! My dad's plane was an hour late, so it was oh so fun hanging in the airport. Any of you that have been to Minot Airport know what I mean..b/c it is NOT very big and there is nothing to do or see.
This month is finally a little slower but not for longer...for I have TWO football games to go to (Sept 22nd and Sept 29th). So two weekends in a row. Then October is here, which means Thanksgiving the first weekend, and then we are off to Dauphin the second weekend, for Jared's parents anniversary.
Speaking of football, I wonder if the Riders are going to make it to the grey cup. It is in Toronto this year, and I so want to be there for it if they are!! I've never been to Toronto.
I can't believe how fast winter is approaching...before we know it, it's going to be Christmas time..and I haven't even thought about gifts or gift exchanges yet! I have put some thought into going down to Minot this year. I think that would be fun. I guess we'll see what's going on , on my Dad's side of the family because it doesn't sound like my mom's side is going to be doing anything.
In other exciting news, Marisa and I have started this bootcamp thing. So twice a week we go to Alameda and work out. I think it should be fun, and gets us out of the house doing something constructive. But I really need to get to curves still, I've been very very bad with that ever since the wedding.
ALSO I don't think that I've blogged that Paige took her first steps at the beginning of the week!! Seven steps she took right to me as I was sitting in the chair in the living room. Since then she will take a few steps, but still isn't completely walking. I know she is 15 months, but she is so petite that I just can't believe she is growing up so fast!!
We were also recently plagued with a Trojan horse virus on our computer. We still aren't sure exactly where it came from, but it was a "backdoor " trojan (meaning that it works behind the scenes). Anyways Norton Antivirus couldn't delete it, kept saying "access denied to this file" and so on. Finally we got a program that deleted it. I was always like oh I won't get any viruses I have antivirus, but we did. So here's a warning to all of you that may think the same way!
And in a tiny side note (because I don't like talking about it), the Riders lost on Sunday to Winnipeg. No need to say the score...just know it was BAD!!! That's ok, we're still #1 in the CFL and we'll bounce back!
I have to apologize for the pictures. They aren't the greatest quality, as Jared has my camera in his truck (he always seems to steal it and never bring it back inside. These are taken as still images on the camcorder, so not the best.
Dominic ready to head out the door on his first day of play school!
Did I mention that today is really really unbearably cold??? BBRRRRR!! Winter is coming! Last night I dreamed we had snow already!! We still have to have a year end barbeque!!
Til next time, my fellow bloggers!

Eight
Jayden tagged me into doing this..so here goes:
Here are eight things you DONT know about me:
1)I don't mean to copy you Jayden, but I too am a VERY addictive person. I am addicted to facebook, internet in general, I tend to be the "ok just one more" girl when out for a drink.
2)As much as I am a city girl (I hate bugs, bees, wasps, etc and LOVE shopping and eating at NICE restaurants) I am very much a farm girl too. I can't wait til we own a farm, and I can have a huge garden, do lots of landscaping, mow lots of grass and be able to enjoy the outdoors (minus the bugs, bees and wasps).
3)I am deathly afraid of heights. Here are some examples...if you go into some provincial parks (for us it was the national park in Manitoba), they have these towers you can go up, and they overlook all the trees. Well I did make it to the top, very uneasily. I could only stay up there a couple of minutes and was almost hyperventelating I was so scared and on the way down my legs were so shaky I thought I was going to fall off. Another example, when I was younger I went to Buffalo Days in Regina and they had the drop of doom and really it's not THAT big of a drop..but on the drop my butt left the seat , I seriously thought I was going to die, I couldn't breathe and even though others went back on the ride...I vowed never to do it again! haha.
4)I hate winter. Absolutely HATE it. I hate having to bundle up, and now bundle the kids up too, just to go downtown quickly. I do like going ski-doo'ing, but how often does that happen? not very. I get so down in the winter b/c it's so hard to do anything!! plus I HATE winter driving.
5)I LOVE football, mostly just the cfl, and more specifically mostly just the Riders. But it is the one sport that can be on tv and no matter who's playing I can get into it (if I want to, haha)
6)I am becoming more and more like my mom. And by that I mean..I'm starting to become a neat freak. I don't think my house will ever be as tidy as my mom's...but it definetly bugs me when my house is a mess. So with 2 kids and a husband (that is exhausted by the time he gets home from a 14 hour shift), I am definetly finding it hard to keep my house tidy.
7)I love to swim. not just swim...like laps I love swimming laps. I haven't done it in SSOOO long and I so miss it. I wish I would've got into competitive swimming when I was younger..oh well
8)I played with barbies until I was about 14 years old. hahahaha, what ??!!! they were fun!!
I tag Erika.

Muffy Family
We spent friday night around the fire in the backyard. And didn't do a whole lot Saturday.
Sunday Jared and I were off to the Rider game bright and early (9 am). Then we didn't make it back home until almost 9 that night. We were there nice and early and got to check out the Rider store..which I am now a BIG fan of!! Stuff is so cheap!!!
Monday we had the Logue's over for a nice chicken supper and went out to their farm afterwards. Where we shot some guns..but mostly the guys did that, and Marisa and I played Bocce ball (which is now a new fave of mine).
I am super lazy today and not wanting to blog, plus my kids are done their baths and ready for bed so I should jet for now!
Busy this week with Oilwives meeting tomorrow night and then playschool meeting the next night! Playschool starts on the 10th (that's MONDAY!!!!!!) What??? my little baby boy is growing up!!

Labor Day long weekend!
Our bathroom (which I originally thought was only a $3000 reno, Jared informs me was more like $7000 haha whoops) has been "finished" for over a month now. You know that post where I put pics up saying, still a few loose ends to tie up...Ya it's still like that. No door, hence having to announce to the whole household that you're going pee/showering/bathing (lucky for me, during the day it's usually just me and the kids!). The apron for the tub is still not on (because we have not yet got someone to hook up the jacuzzi tub. We don't have the crown moulding around the roof, nor baseboards. I'm ready for it to be done.
You think that's a lot of work...well seeing as Jared does NOT get days off anymore, and tends to work until 9 every day, we have a lot of work to squeeze into his time off. Our backyard has loads and loads of empty boxes from the wedding (that now thanks to the dog, are not all in one piece). Our garage is a disaster area...with loads and loads of recycling to take back, and a truckful of donations for the salvation army..
PLUS we go to the Rider game Sunday (so I guess we get a little day trip). But my parents are moving my sister to Lethbridge this weekend, so Sara is babysitting for us..and we will be returning right after the game. But seeing as this is the Labor Day Classic, we have to leave here by 9:30 at the latest to be in Regina for 12 and get to Mosaic Stadium for the game at 2.
Ooohh and we will be ordering our bedroom furniture soon! I am so excited to have nice furniture, not hand me downs, and not anything cheap. We are spending a fair bit of coin in order to have something nice. You can check out the website at http://www.auntiefannys.com/ We are getting the Aurora collection in a dark stain. So the one you see there is the style we're getting, but not even close to the stain...so it gives it a very different look.
Also if anyone would like a Tupperware or Epicure catalogue..let me know!
And here just b/c I love to put pics up when I blog:
One of the chinese lions we had at the dance! They were so amazing!
Me and my dads walking up the aisle. My stepdad, Darrell (on the left), me of course, and my dad Robert.

Here is some deer frollicking (spelling??) in the field
Things are slowly coming together in our house. I have our new china cabinet all set up and looking gorgeous! I am so excited to finally have one of these!

Kandi & Barret's Wedding
Monday, August 20
Rain rain go away!
But here are some other ones: This is my dad's mustang, we used this as our wedding vehicle. It is such an amazing car.

We bought a new china cabinet with some of our wedding money, it is solid oak, from this amazing little store in Regina called Cadillac Oak. I am so glad to have it, b/c we got a lot of expensive glassware for the wedding and had no where to put it!
We are also in the process of ordering a Solid Oak Bedroom outfit (also with our wedding money). I am really excited about that, it will be nice to have a matching bedroom set.
Here is our little man, Dominic driving his (well actually his sisters) floating car.

Together as one --August 11, 2007
We had so much help from so many people, and "thank you" doesn't seem to cover how grateful we are! I am so proud to call myself Crystal Maffenbeier. Jared's mom and dad , Tracy and Ron, welcomed me to the family and did such an awesome job of it, I pretty much bawled all the way through everyone's speech's.
I do not have the proffesional pics back yet. However, one of our close family friends Angie Peach took some AMAZING photo's and edited them..so I am choosing to post them. Also, if you go onto facebook, you will also see other awesome photo's that others took! I promise to upload pics as soon as I get my hands on them!!
