Delay

I keep meaning to post, but keep leaving my camera else where. I really like having picture blogs, oh well..for now this one won't be. I will post some pictures tonight though (or tomorrow morning)

I got busy and had a garage sale Friday and Saturday. Very boring, but did get rid of some things so that was nice. My brother and sister came down late Friday and we had a little barbeque for Paige on Saturday. It was nice to have them here for it, even though it was a rushed trip for them! Paige turns one on June 6 (wednesday). I cannot believe a year has passed already.

I am looking at getting back to work, I think I am going to apply at some salons in Estevan and just bite the bullet and commute. I would really like to find an office job, but I just don't see that happening. I don't really want to leave the kids, but I do like being in the workforce. We'll see what happens because daycare is a big issue too.

We went out fishing on my dad's boat yesterday. We took Dominic with us but left Paige with a babysitter, as it was the first time getting the boat out this year, we didn't want to risk something going wrong and having a screaming baby. It ended up being a good choice, b/c when we got to the boat launch, the plug was broken, so we spent 2 hours searching for a part. On a Sunday in Oxbow...it was difficult but we did find something! I caught my first fish, I was so excited. Dominic had this little scooby doo fishing rod that my friend Heidi gave him, and him and my dad actually caught a fish with it!!! I couldn't believe it, it was cute!

I got to see my cousin Caroline today. She could not make it for my grampa's funeral, so came to spend a week with Gramma. She lives in Washington State, so we don't see her very often.

I am excited for this coming up weekend. Friday we are having a 50th birthday celebration for my dad. Friday night my mom and stepdad will also be coming into town and then leaving Saturday morning and taking the kids to Minot until Sunday. I don't know if I've ever had a day off, at home. I mean I get time off occasionally, but not when I am at home and can accomplish things with no distractions! I look forward to some me time.

Today was such a lazy day, I did not accomplish a single thing, perhaps when Jared gets home we'll get to work on my garden again..it still isn't planted.
