A couple weeks ago, I had a minor heart attack {not literally}, minor melt down, minor whatever you must call it..When I came into my living room to find my new macro lens SMASHED! My heart just broke!!! So I bought a used 50mm macro lens {my other one was a brand new 100mm macro lens}.
It arrived today, with a UV filter on it...and that's when I made the embarassing discovery! I had put a UV filter on my 100mm lens too {can you see where this is going}. yea, it was the cheap cheap filter that was broken, not the glass on my lens! I felt so silly for forgetting it was on there, but am so thankful!
On the bright side, now I have 2 fabulous lenses to play with!
OMG, I would cry buckets if I thought that my macro lens was broken! Your story is kind of funny in hindsight but I'm sure you were feeling sick at the time. I'm glad for you that it turned out okay ... and that you have two lenses now!
