Sing it out loud
I did the "don't do it" ...I bought myself a gift, right before Christmas. I couldn't handle it, I wanted this game so bad!!!! And I have loved playing with it (however unless you've had a couple drinks you may not want to come over while i'm playing it)

She's 19!!!
On Friday, us Oxbow folk celebrated my sis's 19th birthday. Amber came down, and we had a really good time. We started out by going out for supper in Frobisher at the "Sun Rise Cafe", and then headed to the bow for a couple drinks. Amber even spoiled ME, and bought me a new shirt and a necklace!!
The following pic's are of me, my sister's and my dad!

Amazing Race
Some of the tasks we completed on our "Amazing Race" included:
Finding the swinging bridge at Wolseley and going across it and back.
Finding Water St in Wolseley
And Meeting for wonton Soup in Qu'Appelle (PS it was AMAZING!! I have NEVER had wonton soup like that before!! It was complete with TONS of veggie's, shrimp, chicken, MMMMM" I should have taken a better pic of it!

Christmas Early!!
The downfall with having family in law enforcement, is that Christmas doesn't always happen ON Christmas. This year, we had it early. And it was such a blast.
Here is a sneak peek :

My parents organized "the Amazing Race". Complete with "prizes" at the end (which were actually our Christmas gifts. It was such a riot!! We had to take pic's of every "task"
In this picture, my team (consisting of me, Chris and Lance) had to knock on someone's door and politely ask them if we could take our picture with their Christmas display.

Recycling...
I do my best to recycle. Well, at least bottles and cans. My one problem is...ACTUALLY taking them into Sarcan. You have a limit on what you can take, unless you make an appointment. And I can only fit SO much in..
To give you an Idea of how much recycling we have...any beer or pop or anything that has been consumed in our household since...hmmm July...has been piling up in our house. My closet was full, they were piled up by the garbage..it was gross.

AND THEN...if you go to our garage (AAHH, don't DO IT!), we still have ALL of our recycling from our wedding (YES it was a year and a half ago!!!) plus any bottles I had cleaned out of the house, but not got around to taking to Sarcan...there is a lot. Jared hates it. But I refuse to just throw them out...
Well TODAY I get a knock on my door from a fellow Oxbowinian (yep made that word up), saying that he had drove by and noticed I had some recycling by my garbage bin...before he could even ASK if he could take them I blurted out PLEASE PLEASE TAKE THEM!! and then said but wait, I have a household full too!!! his trunk and inside of his car was packed!!! And I still have a garage full to get rid of too!! ( I didn't tell him this though)...figured I could either suck it up and take it in to Sarcan, or just leave it out by my garbage bin bit by bit for him to take!!!
And even though I insisted NO, he gave me $15 for it! AND told me, that if I ok it...he drives by and if I have recycling sitting out, he will just pick it up.. I was like SCORE!!! I know you get money back for recycling...but when I have to drive 45 minutes to take them in...it is hardly worth the hassle.
I am totally stoked!!
