One Year

One year ago today, Jared and I were saying our vows to each other. I cannot believe that a year has gone by, it just goes to show how fast our lives go by.

I wanted to dedicate this post to my DH b/c he does so much for me and I love him with all my heart.

What I love about you, my DH:

Your smile when you see me walking towards you.
Your stinky rig smell, yes I have come to love it (but please don't stop showering haha).
The way you listen to me
The way you are such a great Dad to our kids.
How you are always my shoulder to cry on, if I need it.
How you support me.
The way we can laugh and talk about nothing really, just b/c.
That you provide for our family, I know I get upset about the long hours..but you make a big sacrifice by working those long hours and I know you do that for us.
I love that you are a Bomber's fan, b/c it gives me someone to pick on at the Labour Day Classic!!
I love the way you kiss me and hold me so affectionately.

Most of all, I just love you for being you.

And I have enjoyed every minute of this year of marriage and look forward to many more to come!!

I LOVE YOU!

Just for My Mom.

My mom sent some hats with us for our camping trip, and we were supposed to get a group pic of us all wearing them. Well the group pic never did happen. But we did get people to wear them for a bit and I snuck in some pics!

More of our camping...

Oh the fun of camping. Playing in the sand, taking pictures when people aren't expecting it, putting a tarp out b/c it "might" start pouing (the rain lasted about 10 min and was hardly a "rain", hooking a chair to our tarp as a weight for the one side, colouring...we had a blast and we were only there for 2 nights. I can't wait to go camping for a week ...with a CAMPER!! It is coming so fast, I just know the kids are going to love it!

More slides

My gramma came down to watch the kids at the slides. I love my gramma so much, and just look at this picture how can I not you just look at her and you can tell what a sweet woman she is.

Auntie Mallory was there too, with her scowl and all!

Waterslides.

This weekend was all worked around going to the waterslides. And that almost had to get cancelled. Last week they had vandalism , someone broke in and pulled the plugs. So the slides were running for what they estimate as 6-8 hours with no water. Any longer and they would've most likely been closed for the rest of the year. Their busiest week of the year and they were closed. But they did reopen on Thursday so we were still able to go.

The adult slides hardly got used as far as our group. Mostly we just flocked around the kiddie slides as my kiddos played on these. It was Paige's first time being at the Kenosee Waterslides, and she was a little daredevil. Both her and Dom LOVED it, but by the end they were sure tired.

A camping we will go..

The day after the Rider game we did some shopping in Regina and then headed to Kenosee to camp for the weekend. It was a blast, the kids just LOVED it! And they were so good. They went to bed as good as can be expected in a tent. We had a "secret path" that lead us to the park, and Dominic was always wanting to head over to the park, it was so cute. And it was nice having such nice Auntie's and Uncle's there...When mom was busy, he could always find someone to take him and his baby sister to the park!!

Taste of Defeat

For the first time in the 2008 season, the Riders had the taste of defeat. With all the injuries that the team has had, it was inevitable that they couldn't win them all!

We stayed at the newest hotel in Regina "Wyngate". It is right across from the casino. It was such a nice hotel, ultra modern and reasonably priced. We just walked down to the game from there, and I was a little sketched out about walking downtown Regina so I did not take my camera with me.

So the only pictures I have are once we got back to the hotel room. Amber pulled together the chair and 2 ottoman's in order to make herself a bed (seeing as there was only sleeping room for 4).

And the pic of me kinda says it all. I was EXHAUSTED, and I only got more so as the weekend went on.
